Product information
Product
2-component epoxy systeem, solvent-free.
Coverage
Grouting other tile dimensions: See the consumption calculator at www.alfix.com/forbrugsberegner.
NB!
Do not use the product at temperatures below +10 C and above +30 C.
Temperatures lower than +15 C can complicate the work process.
Temperatures higher than +25 C will shorten the working time.
The recommended temperature for use is between +18 C and +23 C.
The product must be stored at min. +10 C to prevent crystallisation.
If crystallisation has occured, this can be resolved by heating the prodict to between +30 C and +45 C.
To ensure the correct consistency, cool the product subsequently to room temperature before use.
Packaging
Supplied in a 6 kg plastic bucket containing component A (binder) and componenet B (hardener).

Application
How to use
- Remove the container of componenet B and shake thoroughly
- Briefly stir componenet A using a mixing hook fitted to power drill operating at low speed
- Pour in the liquid componenet B and mix to form a homogeneous, uniform paste. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bucket during the process.
- In order to ensure that the mixture is homogeneous, we recommend pouring the epoxy paste into a clean bucket and mixing once more before use
Grouting: Press Alfix EpoxyFuge 20 into the joints using a plastic or hard rubber trowel. Work diagonally across the joints and pull the trowel back and forth to press the grout firmly against the tile edges.
It is best to wash the surface after 15-20 minutes. Use clean, hot water with a dash of detergent if appropriate.
Using as little water as possible, scrub/emulsify the surface with a fine scouring pad. Continue until a fine and even layer of sludge has been formed over the tiles and the joints are filled. Wash down with a tile- or viscose sponge, rinsing it regularly in hot water. Replace the rinsing water foe every 6 kg of mixture. Add up to 10% methylated spirits to the water for the final rinse. Do not allow surplus water to build up in the joints.
After 5-15 hours, carry out a final clean to remove any epoxy film. To remove any epoxy residue, try using CR10 from FILA or SERVICE EPOSOLV frem Treetops.
Tile installation Apply Alfix EpoxyFuge 20 to the substrate using a smooth trowel, and then use a notched trowel to create a ridged bed. Install the tiles within the applicable open time. When installing tiles outdoors and in situations with a high mechanical load, use a full-coverage adhesive layer.
NB
Working with epoxy products requires special training according to:
Annex 3 to Danish Working Environment Authority regulations no. 381 of 12 April 2023 concerning work with substances and materials (chemical agents).
Result
In most cases, finished grout lines should not normally be rinsed out deeper than 1 mm. If the tiles have rounded edges, the grouting can be adjusted to match. Minor colour deviations may occur.
Cleaning
Use varm water mixed with detergent to clean grout residue from tools, etc. immediately after use.
Hardened grout can only be removed by scraping. To remove any epoxy residue, try using CT10 from FILA or SERVICE EPOSOLV from Treetops.
One used, the product is classified as hazardous waste. Please make use of the municipal collection and disposal schemes.
